Connect Claude or ChatGPT
Who this is for: people who use Claude.ai or ChatGPT and want the assistant to build, test and fix workflows in Liitora.
Before you start: you need your Liitora MCP address, for example https://mcp.liitora.example/mcp, and a Liitora account. In ChatGPT, custom connectors need a plan that allows them, with developer mode turned on by your ChatGPT admin.
Claude.ai and ChatGPT sign in to Liitora for you. You don’t need an API token. The first time, they register themselves with Liitora, send you to the Liitora sign-in page, and ask you to allow access. After that the assistant works as you, in your company only.
Claude.ai
Section titled “Claude.ai”- In Claude, open Settings and then Connectors.
- Select Add custom connector.
- Enter a name, for example
Liitora, and your MCP address as the URL. Leave the OAuth fields empty. - Select Add, then Connect.
- Sign in to Liitora and select Yes to allow access.
- In a chat, turn on the Liitora connector and ask: “Ping Liitora.”
ChatGPT
Section titled “ChatGPT”- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and connectors, and create a new connector.
- Enter a name, for example
Liitora, and your MCP address as the URL. - Choose OAuth as the authentication. Leave the client ID and secret empty.
- Create the connector, then sign in to Liitora and allow access.
- In a chat, pick the Liitora connector and ask: “Which Liitora workflows failed this week?”
What you allow
Section titled “What you allow”The sign-in page asks you to allow these:
- Use Liitora through your AI assistant (
mcp): the assistant works as you, in your company. - Read (
mcp:read): it reads workflows, runs and connections. - Create and change drafts (
mcp:write): it saves drafts and runs tests. A person still approves every version.
If the assistant doesn’t get Create and change drafts, it can look but not change anything.
How your account stays safe
Section titled “How your account stays safe”- The assistant never sees your password. You sign in on the Liitora page, not in the chat.
- Its access works only for Liitora’s MCP server, not for the rest of Liitora, and only for your company.
- The assistant never approves a workflow. What it saves counts as the assistant’s work, so you or another admin review and approve it.
- Every change it makes is in the audit log, marked as made by an AI assistant for you.
- To stop it, remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
If it doesn’t connect
Section titled “If it doesn’t connect”- The connector can’t register: only Claude.ai, ChatGPT and apps on your own computer may register. Check the MCP address, and that it ends in
/mcp. - 401 or “unauthorized” after signing in: sign in again from the connector settings. See unauthorized.
- “forbidden”: your role in Liitora doesn’t allow what the assistant tried, or you allowed only Read. See forbidden.
